Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz professionally known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder gave her the name of her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder, who considers herself Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County to California when she was seven. There they didn't have electricity. Ryder was a prolific reader because of the lack of television. Ryder began to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged twelve years old. When she was 15, Ryder landed her first acting job on screen, in Lucas. Ryder was bullied throughout her teenage years. Her acting career, she hoped, would help her. However, it didn't come to pass. However, she was determined to pursue her dreams. In 1988 she had her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to play success in roles. In 1993 she received two nominations for Academy Awards. One of them for her role in The Age of Innocence.
