Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting profession after she enrolled at Stanford University. In her early career, she played part in movies such as Pleasantville and Election. It is Elle Woods' portrayal in Legally Blonde which marked a major pivotal moment in her career. Witherspoon was awarded the Academy Award in the year 2005 for her role in Walk the Line. Water for Elephants, This Means War, and Wild are a few of her most recent movies. The actress also received an Oscar nod for Wild. Witherspoon has had great success as both the TV star and producer in David E. Kelley's awarding-winning TV Series Big Little Lies. Witherspoon was born Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon in New Orleans Louisiana on March 22nd, 1976. Her parents are medical doctor and a registered nurse. The actress grew up in Nashville, Tennessee as the debutante of her school as well as Harpeth Hall. In a whim in 1991 Witherspoon responded to a request for extras in her hometown newspaper. At the time, she was just 14 when she was offered the role of the main character for The Man in the Moon. Witherspoon considered quitting acting her first year of college to pursue a doctoral profession with her parents. In the early 2000s, she began her career, playing small television parts. in the comedic The Invisible Man, 2003 she was the first actress to appear in a major feature film. Following that, she was on various TV shows such as House of Lies Whitney or Better Call Saul. She also appeared as an actress on The Dictator (1998) and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2006). She is an excellent artist and painter in along with being an accomplished actress.
